Willingham House was built c1790 for Lieutenant-Colonel Ayscoghe Boucherett who was a landowner and businessman and also the MP for Great Grimsby from 1796 to 1803.

Willingham House was blown up by the Royal Engineers in 1967 following years of neglect. The house had been a prison camp during and following WWII and then a MOD training camp.
