Title: Scartho Five-Sailed Windmill c1912
Author: Unknown
Date: A January 2017 scan of an original RPPC

It's difficult to read the word 'Scartho' but it's there and starts near the 'I' in 'Images'.

The postcard was posted in 1913 by daughter Doris to a Mrs Heaton in Tealby, Lincoln.

I presume this was the tower mill which was built in 1869 to supercede Heaton's Post Mill which was demolished in 1870. Both mills stood together on the same site for a very short time. This later mill was demolished c1970s. It stood at the bottom of Millfield Avenue (near Cragston Avenue).

(BUT could this be the windmill which stood at Scartho Top about a mile away and the other side of Scartho Road?)
