An Avro Lancaster of 460 Squadron at RAF Binbrook in 1943

Aircraft Serial No.: ED421. Approx May 1943.
Pilot Officer Eddie Hudson DFC, Captain (centre with the head dress on)
SGT D Jones,
SGT Young,
FSGT J Austen,
SGT C Rose,
SGT F Ward,
SGT J Mardell.
The aircraft was lost on a mission to Berlin on 23.08.1943, when it exploded.  The list of crew is as follows;-
Pilot – Pilot Officer Alex Richards RAAF,
Bomb Aimer -  Sgt James Munro RAAF,
Navigator - Flt Sgt K Gay RAAF,
Above POW
Wireless Operator -  Fly Sgt James Geoffrey Collins RAAF,
Flight Engineer – Sgt William Armstrong Finlay,
Air-Gunner – Sgt Thomas Swale,
Air Gunner – Flt Sgt John Marsh.
Above KIA and buried in the Berlin 1939-1945 War Cemetery.
