This grand, Tudor/Jacobean style, 1900s building is now one of the best loved hotels in Lincolnshire.

Once a private resisdence, built by Baroness Grace van Eckhardstein, the Petwood became a military convalescence hospital for a spell during WWI and was returned to private use after the war. In 1933 it became a hotel but it's as the home of the legendary 617 "Dambusters" Squadron in WWII that the Petwood is best known.
