Lincolnshire Butterfly Bomb Wings

Author: Private owners
Date: November 2017

Original, 'Lincolnshire' butterfly bomb (SD2) wings placed within a mile or two of where they fell to earth over 74 years ago.

Please note that these are the wings only. They became separated from the explosive part in 1943 and the bomb has long gone.

Although slightly deformed, the wings show no corrosion at all and still have much of their original, dull-green paint.
