Title: Lincoln Area Thornycroft Lorries
Author: Unknown
Date: March 2017 scan of the original c1920s photograph

A superb photo showing a fleet of no less than ten Thornycroft delivery lorries. John Isaac Thornycroft formed the Thornycroft Steam Carriage and Van Company in 1896. Are these either "Type J" or "Type K" lorries built sometime in the 1920s? I believe the Thornycroft name is today only associated with marine engines.

The building beyond the 'hanger-type' building has a sign saying 'South Lincoln Agricultural Engineers'. It will be much appreciated if anyone can give a precise location for this photo.......
