Title: L.N.E.R. Grimsby & Immingham Light Railway; Grimsby Terminus 1938
Author: W. A. Camwell
Date: A May 2019 image taken directly from an original 1938 photograph

This electric light railway, primarily for passenger traffic, linked Great Grimsby and the Port of Immingham seven miles away. The railway was in operation from 1912 until 1961.

The information handwritten in pencil on the back of this excellent photo reads:

L.N.E.R. Grimsby & Immingham Light Railway. Grimsby Terminus, 17th July 1938. This line is still in action and rendering very useful service. No likelihood of scrapping.
