The flags and bunting are out for the Silver Jubilee of King George V in April 1935. He reigned from 6th May 1910 until his death on 20th January 1936.

Note the F. W. Woolworth Co. Ltd. 3D and 6D store on the right. On the higher sign it has the slogan "nothing in these stores over 6D" (six old pence).

Beyond 'Woolies' is the Saracen's Head Hotel at 298, High Street. The Stonebow, an early 16th century building, is in the background.
