Title: The Harlequin Inn, Lincoln in Edwardian Times (Closer View)
Author: Unknown
Date: Taken from the original c1905 glass negative in October 2016
Comments:

A wonderful, old image of the inn and houses in Michaelgate. The negative is nicely sharp and detailed. It's easily possible to read the name over the door of the inn, which is Fred Reynolds. In the far distance, a nun is walking up Steep Hill.

This is a closer view of the Harlequin Inn taken from the same negative as another image on this site.

Beware of inferior quality copies available on eBay!

NB Fred Reynolds is listed as the publican at the Harlequin Inn, 22 Steep Hill, Lincoln in the Kelly's 1909 Directory of Lincolnshire.
