Title: The Harlequin Inn, Lincoln in Edwardian Times
Author: Unknown
Date: Taken from the original c1905 glass negative in October 2016

A wonderful, old image of the inn and houses in Michaelgate. The negative is nicely sharp and detailed. It's easily possible to read the name over the door of the inn, which is Fred Reynolds. In the far distance, a nun is walking up Steep Hill.

Please let me know if the clothing or the name of the publican suggest a more accurate date. I believe the inn is now a second-hand bookshop.
