Title: WWI 'Grimsby Chums' Group
Author: Unknown
Date: January 2017 scan of an original c1915 photo

A brilliant photo showing some members of the famous 'Grimsby Chums' taking a short break fom digging trenches at their training camp which could well have been at Brocklesby.

The 10th Battalion Lincolnshire Regiment was the only 'pals battalion' to be known as 'chums'.

A comparison with another photo suggests that one of the two officers in centre of the photo is 2nd Lieut. H G Woods. (The one wearing a coat.)
