Title: Genuine Grimsby Butterfly Bomb Wings
Author: P. M. Fenwick
Date: July 2016

A genuine set of butterfly bomb (SD2) wings from one of the 3,000+ butterfly bombs which were dropped on Grimsby and Cleethorpes during the 'famous' raid of 13/14 June 1943.

These wings have their original paint and the springs are still very strong. Everything is totally inert and free from explosives!

The town of Grimsby is synonymous with the history of the butterfly bomb - the first anti-personel cluster bomb used operationally.

(Beware of butterfly bomb relics which are sometimes sold as having been found in Grimsby!)
