Title: Dock Tower, Grimsby
Author: Unknown

c1900 and 2017

A restored and partly coloured image from an original, very sharp photo.

Completed in 1852, the purpose of the tower was to provide hydraulic power to the lock gates at Grimsby Docks. The design of the tower is based on the bell tower at the Palazzo Pubblico in Siena, Italy. The Dock Tower is now a Grade I listed building.
