Christopher Wordsworth (1807-1885) was the nephew of the great poet, William Wordsworth.

Both an excellent scholar and athlete in his student days, Christopher Wordsworth was to become headmaster of Harrow School. He was appointed as Bishop of Lincoln in 1869 and remained in the position for 15 years.

Christopher Wordsworth is also known as the writer of some popular hymns.
