Comments:

The Ship Inn at Barnoldby-le-Beck, near Waltham, is still in business today and is noted for its award-winning food. The buildings to both the the left and the right of the pub are no more. The space provides car parking for clients.

The car, reg. no. LK 4162, parked outside the pub appears in many photographic postcards by Jackson. It is probably the photographer's car and, perhaps, it is the photographer standing beside it....a sort of early 'selfie'!

The name on the pub sign appears to be 'E. C. Bayles'.
