Comments:

A wonderful pre-WWI image. Two crew members pause from gutting fish in the pounds while the other six crew members pose in the background.

SS Othello (GY333) was built in 1907 by Cochrane & Sons Ltd. of Selby. She was requisitioned by the Royal Navy c1914-1919. Requisitioned again in 1939, the Othello was used as a minesweeper and boom defense vessel. She sank in the River Humber on 11th April 1941 after hitting a mine.
