Title: Cleethorpes Jubilee Fountain (c1905)
Author: Unknown
Date: A February 2018 scan of an original c1905 photo

A superb, Edwardian image! This beautiful, ornate, cast-iron fountain was presented to the town of Cleethorpes by the Grant family to celebrate Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee in 1897.

Sadly, the fountain was declared unrepairable after a car ran into it in 1949. Photographic evidence suggests that it could have been repaired as only two or three of the pillars were hit and the ornate, upper part was undamaged.
