The 212th Independent Infantry Brigade (Home) became an integral part of the Lincolnshire County Division in November 1941 and adopted the Lincolnshire, 'tulip' insignia.

This sleeve patch is one of a pair. The tulip is the traditional flower of the southern part of Lincolnshire (The Fens), the centre of the English bulb-growing industry.
